Charles "Dwight" Able

Charles "Dwight" Able, 70, of Louisville, Kentucky, passed away on Friday, December 30, 2022. Dwight enjoyed being in the outdoors going fishing, playing softball, and playing golf. He loved going to Churchill Downs and betting on all the horse races. Dwight was always going out to dinner and loved the Hibachi and Chinese Restaurants. He was a loving and devoted Husband, Father, Grandfather, Son, and Brother who enjoyed family time. Dwight was a foreman at NG Gilbert for many years where he trimmed trees for the power company. He will be missed by all who knew and loved him.

He was born on February 19, 1952 in Louisville, Kentucky to Charles Robert Able & June Dawson. He is preceded in death by his Father, Robert Able, Brother Clay "Blue" Dawson, Uncles, Jim and Bobby, Aunt Bill, Grandparents, Charles & Onnie Ridgway.

Dwight is survived by his loving Wife of 50 years, Lynda Ann Able, Children, Tony Able, Kelly (Jeff) Bissinger, and Jamie (Elyse) Able, Grandchildren, Zachary Bissinger, Gabriel Able, Brooklyn Bissinger, and Paige Willis, Mother, June (Clarence) Dawson, Aunt, Nan, Brothers, Gary Able, Craig Dawson, Sisters, Kathy, Bobbie, and Dusty. Dwight also leaves behind to cherish his memory a host of Friends and Extended Family.

Visitation and Gathering will be from 12:00 pm to 4:00 pm on Wednesday, January 4, 2023 at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions - Southwest Louisville Chapel, (10304 Dixie Hwy).
