Cecilia Rose (Volpert) Daugherty, 94, of Woodstock, Georgia, formerly of New Albany, passed away on Wednesday, July 20, 2011.
Cecilia was born on November 3, 1917 in New Albany to the late Louis Phillip and Mary Suzanna (Warth) Volpert.
She is survived by her children, Joseph Daugherty (Kathleen), Mary Ann Trent, & Christine Barkman (Ron); her sister, Elizabeth Park; 8 grandchildren & 11 great-grandchildren. Along with her parents, she is preceded in death by her sisters, Helen Volpert & Mary Craig and her brothers, Paul, Cletus, Adolph & Lester Volpert.
Visitation will be from 10 AM to 12 PM on Saturday, July 23, 2011 at Newcomer Funeral Home (3309 Ballard Lane, New Albany). Her Funeral Service will be at 12 PM on Saturday, July 23, 2011 in the Paul F. Kraft, Sr. Memorial Chapel at the funeral home with burial to follow at St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery in New Albany.
