Catherine Marie(Jacobi) Andres

Catherine Marie (Jacobi) Andres, 90, of Floyds Knobs, Indiana, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, March 5, 2014. She was a payroll clerk at Robinson Nugent in New Albany and a clerk in the Floyd County Voter's Registration. She was a former leader and member of the Floyd County 4-H, the Homemakers of Floyd County, and a current member of WOW – Widows or Widowers. Catherine served as the organist at both St. Mary of the Knobs and St. Mary's Navilleton Catholic Churches for 52 years. She participated in her Bunco Club for over 50 years and was a long-time member of St. Mary of the Knobs Catholic Church in Floyds Knobs.

Catherine was born on September 7, 1923 in New Albany, Indiana to the late Albert M., Sr. and Alma C. (Schmidt) Jacobi. She was also preceded in death by her husband, James R. Andres; brother, Albert Jacobi; and granddaughter, Ashley Andres.

She is survived by her sons, James, David (Cathy), Donald (Brenda), and Patrick (Diana) Andres; daughters, Deborah Wessel (Larry) and Cindy Klusmeier; 10 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be from 2 to 8 PM Friday, March 7, 2014 at Newcomer Funeral Home (3309 Ballard Lane, New Albany). Her Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11:30 AM on Saturday in the chapel at St. Mary of the Knobs Catholic Church (5719 St. Mary's Road, Floyds Knobs, IN) with burial to follow in the church cemetery.
