Catherine Louise Knight

Catherine Louise Knight, 89, of New Albany, Indiana, passed away on Wednesday, January 17, 2024. Catherine enjoyed cooking, sewing, gardening, and most importantly spending time with family. Over the past two years, her daughter's dog Gertie had become her favorite four legged companion.

She was born on October 17, 1934 in Grantsburg, Indiana to Joseph and Jewell (Ford) Conklin. In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her husband, Millard Lee Knight; sister, Mary Ruth McDaniel; and brother, James Patrick Conklin.

Catherine is survived by her loving children, Rhonda Knight, Rita Chism, Michael Knight, and Stephen (Linda) Knight; grandchildren, Mackenzie (Josh) Hobgood, Brandy (DJ) Hayes, Jason (Angie) Chism, Cody Chism, Courtney (Nick) Scroggins, Kristen Knight, Adam (Lauren) Gasser, Jessica (Matt) Mestemaker; ten great grandchildren; and Brother, Robert (Donna) Conklin.

Visitation will be from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm on Friday, January 26, 2024 at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions, (3309 Ballard Lane, New Albany, Indiana 47150). Her Funeral Service will be at 1:00 pm on Friday, January 26, 2024 at the funeral home with burial to follow at Mathers Cemetery in English, Indiana.
