Catherine Hadley

Catherine Marie (Schindler) Hadley, 95, of New Albany, Indiana passed away on Wednesday, May 7, 2014. She attended Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church and was an associate member at Cathedral of the Assumption. Catherine was also a member of the Pocahontas Council in New Albany and a lifelong member of the Women's Democrat Club.

Catherine was born on July 24, 1918 in New Albany, Indiana to the late Adam & Mary (Engle) Schindler. She is survived by her children, Beverly H. Brock, John Hadley, Rose Marie Williams (Don), & V. "Ric" Hadley (Eileen); brother, Carl "Moe" Schindler; 13 grandchildren & 21 great-grandchildren. Along with her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Virlen H. Hadley; brothers, Joe & Louis Schindler; sister, Mary Schindler Kasse.

The family would like to thank all the nurses and aides at Diversicare – Providence Retirement Home for the wonderful care they have provided, as well as, two very special friends, Carl Seacat & Diana Sturdy, for their love and support.

Visitation will be from 9:30 am to 12:30 PM Saturday, May 10, 2014 at Newcomer Funeral Home (3309 Ballard Lane, New Albany). Her Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Saturday at 1 PM at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church (1752 Scheller Lane, New Albany, IN).
