Carter Walker

Carter "Keith" Walker, age 91 of Louisville, Kentucky passed away on Monday, March 18, 2024. Keith was born on December 11, 1932 to Rev. A.W. Walker and Mary Lee Walker. He graduated from Male High School in 1950 and Georgetown College in 1955. He served his country in the Army after graduation. Keith was a devout member of Carlisle Avenue Baptist Church, as a son of Rev. A.W. Walker. He held many positions as Sunday School Director, choir member, deacon and coached various ball teams. He also loved singing in a gospel quartet. He started his own business (Data Copy) in 1980, selling copiers until his retirement. He was a loyal U of K and U of L Fan. He loved playing fast pitch softball, tennis, water skiing, and being the BBQ Chef at all family gatherings.

Keith will be deeply missed by his devoted wife of 70 years, Sue Smith Walker; his children, Rod Walker (fiance' Cathy), Rhonda Litsey (Jimmy); grandchildren, Jennifer and Kristy Litsey and Rachel and Matthew Walker; brother and sister-in-laws, Lester Smith, Jr, Bob Smith, Alice Ryan, Hilda Lindeman and Jim Smith; and a host of relatives and friends.

A gathering to celebrate Keith's life will be from 5 to 8pm on Tuesday, March 26, 2024 at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals and Receptions, 235 Juneau Drive, Louisville, Kentucky 40243, with military honors at 6:30pm.
