Carrie Dawson "Loretta Akins", 60, of Louisville, Kentucky passed away on June 6, 2016 surrounded by her family.
Carrie was born on February 23, 1956 in Louisville, Kentucky to Thurman Akins and Willa Dean Boyle. She was preceded in death by her mother and step-father John Boyle.
Carrie is survived by her daughter, Renee Dawson, brother David Akins sisters, Sherry Johnson (Steve), Patricia Renfro (Tom) nieces, Nicole Simpson, Staci Slusher, and Taylor Renfro, nephews Joey, James and Steven Church also many great nieces and great nephews whom she loved dearly.
Visitation will be from 1:00 pm until the time of the memorial service at 3:00 pm on Saturday, June 18, 2016 at Newcomer Funeral Home (235 Juneau Drive, Louisville 40243).
Memorial contributions may be made to the family in the care of Patricia Renfro and or Sherry Johnson.
