Carolyn Marie (Duncan) Roberts

Carolyn Marie (Duncan) Roberts, 71, of New Albany, Indiana, passed away on Sunday, May 26, 2024. She was an avid bingo player, enjoyed spending time outdoors and being with her family.

She was born on October 6, 1952 in New Albany, Indiana to Charles and Norma (Mitchem) Duncan. Along with her parents, Carolyn was preceded in death by her husband, Calvin Roberts, Sr.; son-in-law, Demario Pennington; and sister, Mary Duncan.

Carolyn is survived by her children, Valerie Pennington, Calvin Roberts, Jr. (Tina); grandchildren, Brandon Roberts, Izaiah Duncan, Serenity Roberts; siblings, Charles Duncan (Linda), Michael Duncan (Sue), Nathan Duncan, Stella Duncan, William Duncan (Maureen); brother-in-law, George Winburn, Jr.; and a host of nieces, nephews and extended family members.

Visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. on Friday, May 31, 2024 at Bethel A.M.E. Church, (315 E. Fifth Street, New Albany) with her funeral service taking place at 1:00 p.m. Burial will follow at West Haven Cemetery in New Albany.
