Carolyn Poe Egbert

Carolyn Poe Egbert, age 72 of Louisville, passed away Saturday, November 30, 2013. She was a member of Southeast Christian Church. She was an environmental services director for Britthaven of Prospect and Caritas. She was preceded in death by Hubert and Esther Rice Poe; son, Alex David Tooker; granddaughter, Tebble Racheal Spalding.

Carolyn is survived by her loving daughter, Kristen Sim (John Blandford), Lisa Scarberry (Mark), Robin Spalding, Shawn Edward Spalding, Sharon Bodet (Chris); grandchildren, Kayla, Damon, Christopher, Frank, Johnathen, Sarah Breshears (Tim), Jeremy, Joshua, Amber, Tiffany, Michael, Ryan and Chelsea; several great-grandchildren including Jarron and Alexandra; siblings, Edgar R. Poe (Susan), Charles W. Poe (Alma) and Linda Sanders (Bobby); many nieces, nephews and a host of friends.

The family would like to thank the team at Hosparus for their exceptional care of our mother, grandmother and sister.

Funeral ceremony will be 2pm Wednesday, December 4, 2013 at Newcomer Funeral Home, 235 Juneau Drive with burial to follow in Floydsburg Cemetery. Visitation will be 3-8pm on Tuesday and after 10am on Wednesday until time of service.
