Carolyn J.(Fogle) Mcphillips

Carolyn J. (Fogle) McPhillips, 80, formerly of Louisville, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, February 13, 2013 at Mercy -Providence Retirement Home. She graduated from Our Lady of Mercy Academy in 1950 and later retired as a chief clerk for ICI America's. Carolyn was a member of Holy Family Catholic Church, an associate member of Our Lady Catholic Church (Good Shepherd) in Louisville, and a lifetime member of the Ladies Auxiliary VFW Post 1693 Hobart Beach.

Carolyn was born on August 2, 1932 to the late Francis O. and Elizabeth L. (Gilkey) Fogle. She was also preceded in death by her husband, James Patrick McPhillips. She is survived by her son, Francis O. McPhillips (Cindy); grandson, Patrick McPhillips; sisters, Lois Erwin and Frances Oleta Williams.

Visitation will be from 2 PM to 8 PM Friday, February 15, 2013, at Newcomer Funeral Home (3309 Ballard Lane, New Albany) and on Saturday after 11 AM. Her Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 1 PM on Saturday at Holy Family Catholic Church (129 West Daisy Lane, New Albany) with burial to follow at Most Precious Blood Catholic Cemetery in New Middletown, Indiana.

Memorial contributions may be made to Holy Family Catholic Church or to the Most Precious Blood Cemetery Fund.
