Carolyn "Carol" Jean Edwards, 76, of Louisville, Kentucky, passed away on Saturday, September 16, 2023.
She was born on October 12, 1946 in Louisville, Kentucky to the late Albert and Ada McGrew Brown . along with her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Lance "Doug" Douglas Edwards, daughter, Phyllis Ann Ruckriegel Carpenter, and brothers, William Brown and H. Joseph Marshall.
Carol is survived by her loving family; daughter, Tammy Jean (Robert) Edwards Ray, daughter, Lisa Dell (Michael) Thomas Settles, grandchildren , Eric Micheal Douglas Ray, Dylan Alexander (Sara) Ray, Conner Owen Ray, Jaina Elexa (Riley) Ray, Shannon Carpenter Ruckriegel Walters, Tabatha Carpenter Colby, 4 step grandchildren , 7 great grandchildren , her dear Friend, William Powers and numerous nieces and nephews that will miss her very much.
Carol was an amazing, wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend that was missed by many. Her passion was to take care of others; to know her was to love her.
Visitation will be from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Tuesday, September 26, 2023 at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions - Southwest Louisville Chapel, (10304 Dixie Hwy). Her Funeral Service will be at 11:00 am on Wednesday, at the funeral home with burial to follow at Bethany Memorial Cemetery.
