Carolyn Faye Coulter

Carolyn Faye Coulter, 80, of Elizabeth, Indiana, passed away on Monday, March 6, 2023. Carolyn was truly a people person. She was generous of spirit and spent much of her free time making crafts, preserves, and Christmas mice to give to others. Carolyn worked at Caesar's as security for over 19 years and, in that time, she never met a stranger. She will be greatly missed by all who had the pleasure of meeting her.

She was born on March 17, 1942, in Louisville, Kentucky, to Carl and Dorothy (England) Gibbons. She is preceded in death by her father, Carl Gibbons; mother, Dorothy McDaniel; stepmother, Mary Gibbons; sister, Linda Crane; brother, Carl Gibbons; and brother, Joseph McDaniel.

Carolyn is survived by her loving husband, James R. Coulter; daughters, Teresa (Mark) Sutton, Brenda Wenning, and Debra Woods; son, James R. (Lynn) Coulter II; sisters, Barbara Sturtzel and June Cole; brother, Vernon McDaniel; 9 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; and many other extended family and friends.

Visitation will be from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. on Sunday, March 12, 2023, at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions (3309 Ballard Lane, New Albany, Indiana).
