Carole Ann Henry

October 9, 1944 — January 1, 2014

Carole Durham Henry passed away on January 1, 2014. She was born on October 9, 1944 to the late Earl and Mary Inez Durham. After graduating from Butler High School, she worked for Urban Renewal and later joined Brown & Williamson as an executive secretary and retired as a customer service representative. As an avid University of Louisville fan, she enjoyed cheering on the Cardinals at numerous NCAA tournaments and bowl games. She was also preceded in death by her sister, Janice Compton.

Carole is survived by her husband of 32 years, Donald; son, Jeffrey (Ashley); brother, Robert Durham; and sister, Sandra Gurley.

The family would like to extend special thanks to the entire staff of Hosparus and Baptist Hospital East, and to Dorsey and Pam Powell for their support.

Visitation for Carole will be 2-6pm Sunday, January 5, 2014 at Newcomer Funeral Home, 235 Juneau Drive. Burial will be 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at Cave Hill Cemetery, meeting at the Grinstead Drive entrance.

Memorials may be made to the WHAS Crusade for Children.
