Carol Pfeiffer Mercke

Carol Meredith Pfeiffer Mercke, 86, of Louisville, Kentucky passed away on October 7, 2022. She was born on December 24th, 1935 to the late Edward and Leila Pfeiffer.
Carol is survived by her brother, Edward Pfeiffer; two children, George Mercke (Carrie Mercke), Leila Evans; and two grandchildren, Maggie Mercke and Sam Mercke.
Carol went to Sacred Heart Academy, Hollins College and graduated from UK. She was a member of the Waterfront Botanical Gardens and a board member of the St. Matthews Area Ministries. She enjoyed tennis, bicycling, gardening and playing bridge.
Visitation will be on Sunday, October 16, 2022 at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals, and Receptions (235 Juneau Drive, Louisville, KY 40243) from 4:00pm – 6:00pm. A memorial service will be held on Monday, October 17, 2022 at Calvary Cemetery (1600 Newburg Road, Louisville, KY 40213) beginning at 11:00am with burial to follow.
Memorial contributions can be made to the Waterfront Botanical Gardens (PO Box 5056, Louisville KY 40255).
