Carol "Sue" (Amy) Evans Voyles

Carol "Sue" (Amy) Evans Voyles , 80, of New Albany, Indiana, passed away peacefully on Saturday morning, February 23, 2019. Sue had an enjoyable career in the banking industry that spanned over 35 years where she made many life-long friends. She was an avid basketball fan and enjoyed watching all of the local teams, especially IU. Sue also enjoyed shopping, as well as talking and visiting with friends and family. She was a devout Christian and loved watching the Gaither family anytime they were on TV.

She was born on July 17, 1938 in Laconia, Indiana to the late Charles and Helen (Arter) Amy. Sue was also preceded in death by her husbands, Allen D. Evans, Jack N. Voyles; son, Bradley Evans; and brother, Rev. Lanny D. Amy.

Sue is survived by her daughter, Bethany (Evans) Brown (Travis); daughter-in-law, Kendra Evans; sister, Sherry Snelling (Monty); grandchildren, Craig Evans (Samantha), Morgenn Evans (Morgan), Megan Evans, Allysen Brown (Fiancée, Matthew Tomlin), Zachary Brown; great-grandchildren, Emma Evans, Maverick Evans; and several nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, February 28, 2019 at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions (3309 Ballard Lane, New Albany) with her funeral service taking place at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Rose Hill Cemetery in Elizabeth, Indiana.

Contributions in Sue's memory be made to the Town of Elizabeth Volunteer Fire Department in memory of her son, Bradley Evans.
