Carol D.(Luse)Rutherford Davis

Carol Dena (Luse) Rutherford Davis, 70, of New Albany, Indiana passed away on Sunday morning, January 30, 2011 at Floyd Memorial Hospital in New Albany. Carol was a retired director of Northwood University, Louisville outreach program.

Carol was born on February 14, 1940 in Salem, Indiana to the late Harold and Helen (Fultz) Luse.

She is survived by her husband, Ronald E. Davis of 22 years; daughter, Shannon Suzan Burton and her husband Bill of Louisville, Kentucky; son, Bob Rutherford and his wife Amy of New Albany, Indiana; step-children, George Davis and his wife Jill of Rowlette, Texas, Ronda Knutson and her husband James of Minot, North Dakota and Stacey Davis of New Albany, Indiana; eleven grandchildren; brothers, Richard W. Luse of Jasper, Indiana and William Keith Luse and his wife Sarah of Potomac, Maryland.

Visitation will be from 2 to 8 PM on Wednesday, February 2 at Newcomer Funeral Home (3309 Ballard Lane, New Albany, IN 47150). The Funeral Service will be at 11 AM on Thursday, February 3 in the Paul F. Kraft Memorial Chapel at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Crown Hill Cemetery in Salem, Indiana.
