Carol D. Jones

Carol D. Jones, 73, of New Albany, Indiana passed away on Monday afternoon, January 31, 2011. He retired from Kroger after 25 years of service. Carol loved the outdoors that included fishing, boating, and hunting. He was an avid motorcyclist in the latter years of his life.

Carol was born on March 2, 1937 in Marengo, Indiana to the late Arvis C. and Geneva (Cummins) Jones.

He is survived by his sisters, Barbara Sue Gardener of New Albany, Indiana, Roma Lee Brendle and her husband, Norman, of Corydon, Indiana.

A Memorial Visitation will be from 11 AM to 1 PM on Friday, February 4, 2011 at Newcomer Funeral Home (3309 Ballard Lane, New Albany, IN 47150) followed by a Memorial Service at 1 PM in the chapel at the funeral home. Cremation was chosen following Carol's wishes.
