Carol Ann Mcelvain

August 5, 1945 — February 9, 2014

Carol Ann Renegar McElvain, age 68 of Louisville, passed away Sunday, February 9, 2014. She was a beautician by profession, active in the Girl Scouts and in her church. Most of all she was an avid Christian who loved the Lord. She was preceded in death by her father, Charles T. Renegar; her mother, Betty Brinson Renegar Kean; and her step-father, John Kean.

Carol is survived by her loving husband of 40 years, Dennis W. McElvain; her children, Roanna Kean Sparks, Ricky Starr, Heather McElvain Craig, and Brandi McElvain Fisher; grandchildren, Sean, Tyler, Spencer, Raegan, Taylor, Ben and Ryan; great-grandson, Liam; half-sister, Debbie Renegar Lequire; and many cousins, nephews, nieces and family friends.

Funeral ceremony will be noon Thursday, February 13, 2014 at Newcomer Funeral Home, 235 Juneau Drive. Visitation will be at the funeral home from 4 – 8 pm Wednesday and after 10am on Thursday until time of service.

Memorials may be made to Hosparus or the Alzheimer's Association.
