Carlos "Ray" Satterly

Carlos "Ray" Satterly, 71, of Louisville, Kentucky, passed away on Friday, June 7, 2024. Ray was a long-time member of the Revolver Band and played with multiple bands during his career as a musician. His career started as a teenager in Louisville and he performed across the country. He was a devoted Husband, Dad, Papa, and a selfless mentor whose greatest joy was in seeing others succeed.

He was born on December 3, 1952 in Louisville, Kentucky to Carl and Pauline (Rice) Satterly. He is preceded in death by his Father, Carl Edward Satterly, Mother, Pauline Satterly, and Brother, Charles Dones.

Ray is survived by his loving Wife of 42 years, Reta B. Satterly; Children, Allan (Julie) Stevens, James (Karla) Stevens, Lisa (Don) Miller, and Eddie (Ashley) Sattler; Grandchildren, Josh (Lydia) Stevens, Cody (Philip) Stevens, Krista (Chris) Stevens, Jamie (Andrew) Spalding, and Alyson Stevens; Great-Grandchildren, Jaxxyn Johnson and Layla Johnson; Bonus Brothers, Mike Druen and John Boston, as well as a host of family and friends to cherish his memory.

Visitation will be from 1:00 pm to 6:00 pm on Sunday, June 16, 2024 at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions - Southwest Louisville Chapel, (10304 Dixie Hwy) and visitation will continue on Monday June 17, 2024 from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm. His Funeral Service will be at 1:00 pm on Monday, at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions - Southwest Louisville Chapel with burial to follow at Bethany Memorial Cemetery in Louisville, KY.
