Carita Moore Curtis, age 60 of Louisville, passed away Wednesday, May 15, 2013. She was a soft spoken kind soul who loved her family very much, especially her grandchildren. She was a genealogist who authored one book and co-authored three books. She was a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution (DAR), First Family of Kentucky, Ohio, Mississippi, Missouri and several others. She was preceded in death by her parents, Willie and Virginia Moore; and sisters, Cheryl McCloskey and Christia Summit.
Carita is survived by her loving husband of 44 years, Jeffery; children, Jonah (Stephanie) and Rachael Daniel (Stuart); grandchildren, Rebecca, Branden, Hayley and Brooke; and sister, Cynthia Lebre (Greg).
Funeral ceremony will be 10am Saturday, May 18, 2013 at Newcomer Funeral Home, 235 Juneau Drive with burial to follow in Cave Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be Friday from 3-8pm at the funeral home.
