Camellia "Susie" Million Tinsley, passed away on December 23, 2023. She was a graduate of Lincoln Institute, Mayo Underwood School, Maryland State College and Kentucky State University. Susie loved the Lord, reading her bible, singing and dancing. She was a former member of St. Stephens Church and Centennial Olivet Baptist Church were she served on numerous committees. She was the first black lady to be employed by the city of Frankfort Police Department. Susie had a giving heart and was an inspiration with elegance to many though very sweet, she could show you her feisty side with the same conviction as she had for her Lord.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Alfred and Nannie Million Sr; brothers, James Samuel "Bo" Million, Donald Million and Alfred William Million, Jr. and her sisters, Patricia Ann Jacobs, Ellen Faye Million Laurie and Marcella Million.
Susie is survived by her daughter, Mary Cooksey; grandchildren, Isaiah Cooksey, Naaman Cooksey, Nehemiah Cooksey, Beonca Cooksey, Charles Edward Sanders, III, and Aaliyah M. Sanders; great-grandchildren, Amerie, Arianna Naaman, Jr., Armias and Emerson; siblings, Pauline Million, Marcella Million, Brenda Million a host of nieces, nephews and friends.
Visitation will be Saturday, December 30, 2023, at Newcomer Cremations, Funeral & Receptions, Southwest Louisville Chapel. 10304 Dixie Highway, from 10am-12pm with a celebration of Susie's life beginning at 12pm.
