Calvin L. Black, 67, of Louisville, Kentucky passed away on Tuesday, January 24, 2017 at his home. He was born in Louisville, Kentucky on January 18, 1950 to the late John Paul and Lorina Black. He was a Navy veteran and was retired from Ford Motor Company.
In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by a brother, Carlisle Black.
Calvin is survived by his wife, Mary Sue Black; two daughters, Christina (Brian) Banks and Karen Ann (Donald Joseph) Boss; three step children, Rick (Melanie) Dunn, Melissa (Tim) Malone and Billy Riordan; numerous grandchildren; one brother, Donnie Black; and a host of other family members and friends.
A service to celebrate his life will be 11:30 a.m. on Monday, January 30, 2017 at Newcomer Funeral Home, Southwest Louisville Chapel, 10304 Dixie Highway with burial to follow in Kentucky Veterans Cemetery Central. Visitation will be from 12:00 p.m. - 6:00 p.m. on Sunday at the funeral home.
