Calvin R. Aldridge

Calvin R. "Sonny" Aldridge, 75, of New Albany, Indiana, passed away on Monday, May 8, 2023. Sonny was a proud veteran of the United States Army. He enjoyed reading and spending time with his family in the outdoors.

He was born on July 20, 1947, in Shelbyville, Kentucky, to the late Melvin Aldridge and Laura (Morris) Lee. Along with his parents, he is preceded in death by his brother, Lewis Gene Aldridge.

Sonny is survived by his loving wife of 54 years, Linda Aldridge; daughters, Laura (Jeffery) Bryant, Paula (David) Hepp, and Suzanne Aldridge; honorary son, Michael Geary; brother, Kenneth Aldridge; grandchildren, Kyle Bryant, Brandi Hepp, Adam Aldridge, Ashley (Alex) Bland, Bailey Hepp, and Trenton Arnold; great-grandchildren, Lili, Xander, Alijah, and Oliver; and countless members of his honorary family.

Cremation was chosen following Sonny's wishes, and he will be laid to rest at New Albany National Cemetery at a later date.
