Burton Gallup Yeoman, age 80 of Louisville, passed away on July 29, 2014 at home, surrounded by family. Burt was born August 6, 1933 in Abington, IL. to the late Theodore and Dorothy Gallup Yeoman. He was a Veteran of the U.S. Army, graduated from the University of Iowa and retired from Kraft Foods after 32 years. Burt was a strong family man who was involved in many activities which included being the president of the EHS Booster Club, a Boy Scout Troop Leader and coach of athletics in the Middletown Recreation Association. He was a huge fan of the UofL Cardinals and UofI Hawkeyes. Preceding him in death were his parents, brother, Bill and his sister, Barbara Mustain.
Burt is survived by his loving wife of 57 years, Donna Lavelle Yeoman; his sons, Mike (Dorothy), Mark and Matt; his daughter, Michele Greishaber (Gene, Sr.); his grandsons, Gene, Jr., William and Bradley Grieshaber; his granddaughter, Christina Yeoman; his great-grandson, Lucas Burton Grieshaber who brought his Papa so much joy. Unfortunately he will not be here for his expected great-grandson, Braxton.
Cremation was chosen. Visitation will be 12-3pm on Saturday, August 2, 2014 at Newcomer Funeral Home, 235 Juneau Drive with service to follow at 3pm. Memorials may be made to Hosparus or the charity of the donor's choice.
