Burnice "Pauline" Holsman, 85, of St. Matthews, Kentucky passed away on Wednesday, October 4, 2023.
She was born on December 25, 1937 in Magnolia, Kentucky to the late Roy and Connie Catherine Pruitt. Pauline was a member of the St. Matthews Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses. She was a homemaker and also retired from White Castle after working for 15 years. Pauline loved bluegrass music and playing her guitar, traveling with her husband, bird watching, and the flowers in her flower garden. She also loved to cook for and spend time with her family.
She is preceded in death by her husband of over 30 years, Lee Holsman; her parents; sister, Laverne Eads (Cotton); brother, Johnny Pruitt; sister-in-law, Phyllis Pruitt; and brother-in-law, Gary Bland.
Pauline is survived by her sons, Ronnie Lewis (Lavon), Todd Lewis (Debbie) and Mike Lewis; grandchildren, Larry Todd (Loretta), Connie Dunscombe (Neil), Tammy Foard, Jennifer Stoess, and Wesley Stoess (Amanda); 13 great grandchildren; 3 great great grandchildren; brothers, Lee Roy Pruitt; George Pruitt, Shelby Pruitt (Josie), and Otis Pruitt (Gina); sisters, Shirley Bland and Maggie Sparks; sister-in-law, Brenda Pruitt; step-children, Sherry Cooper (Ron), Mary Pitchford (Jerry), Lee Holsman, Jr. (Gayle), Kelly Kelley (Dylan); and 5 step-grandchildren.
A service to celebrate Pauline's life will be held at 2 PM on Saturday, October 21, 2023 at St. Matthews Kingdom Hall, 9910 Whipps Mill Road, Louisville, KY 40223.
