Britt Lorenz McGrew, 65, of Louisville, KY passed away on June 9, 2014. Britt enjoyed fishing and boating. He could also be found bargain hunting at flea markets, yard sales, or working on cars. Britt retired from USPS.
Britt was born on February 23, 1949, in Pueblo, CO to the late Joseph and Roberta (Lorenz) McGrew.
He proudly served his country in the Army during Vietnam from 1968 to 1969.
Britt is survived by his wife of 43 years, Catherine (Burks) McGrew; sons, Joseph Wm. McGrew (Amanda) and Mark Lorenz McGrew (Regina); daughter, Marie Michelle McGrew; 4 grandsons; 1 granddaughter; sister, Susan J. Kozloff (Ed) and Sally Panzer (Russ); and half-brother, Dick Watley (Lorraine).
Visitation will be held from 3:00pm to 8:00pm Friday, June 13, 2014 at Newcomer Funeral Home - Southwest Louisville Chapel (10304 Dixie Hwy). Funeral services 11:00 am Saturday at the funeral home with burial to follow in Bethany Memorial Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Wounded Warrior Project (P.O. Box 758517, Topeka, KS 66675) or other Veterans related causes.
