Brenda L. Stanfield, 73, of Sellersburg, Indiana, passed away on Wednesday, May 1, 2019.
She was born on November 16, 1945, in Carrwood, Indiana, to Julius and Bertha (Lee) Crawley. She is preceded in death by her parents; brother, Herbert Crawley; sister, Helen Crawley; and sister, Regina Crawley.
Brenda is survived by her loving husband of 53 years, Hobert Stanfield, Sr.; daughter, Jackie E. (David) Schmelz; daughter, Tracy L. Stanfield; son, Hobert "Hobey" (Sara) Stanfield, Jr.; seven grandchildren, Brandon Schmelz, Kyle (Carly Baehr) Schmelz, Travis (Matt) Boling, Classique Stanfield, Isaiah Lewis, Desirae Lewis, Jaya Garrett, and Amelia Garrett; sister, Etta Hedrick; sister-in-law, Louise Crawley; and sister, Judy (Edgar) McCutcheon.
She will be greatly missed by all that knew her.
Visitation will be from 12:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. on Sunday, May 5, 2019, at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions - New Albany (3309 Ballard Lane). Her Funeral Service will be at 11:00 a.m. on Monday at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions - New Albany with burial to follow at Miller Cemetery in Borden, Indiana.
The family requests that contributions in Brenda's memory be made to Amedisys Hospice or Miller Cemetery.
