Brenda Lee Russell

Brenda Lee Russell, a cherished mother, grandmother, and sister, was born on August 29, 1949, in Cloverport, Kentucky. She passed away on October 18, 2024 in Louisville, Kentucky, leaving a legacy of love, kindness, and profound compassion.

A graduate of Butler High School, class of 1967, Brenda dedicated her career to the Brown and Williamson Tobacco Company, where she worked diligently until her retirement. Throughout her life, Brenda was known for her biggest-hearted personality, always willing to lend a helping hand to anyone in need.

Brenda had a passion for dog agility trials, distinguishing herself as a trainer, judge, and participant. She achieved remarkable success in this field, winning numerous awards, including a prestigious fourth place in the United States. Her commitment to the sport was evident in her involvement in starting CPE Agility trials at the CEA, where she served as trial chair for several years.

Brenda is survived by her loving son, Richard Jameison, daughter-in-law, Donna Jameison, who will forever cherish her memory, along with her grandchildren, Kelly Jameison, Corey Jameison, Asher Hinton, Crystal Allen, BayLee Fields, Kasey Gagliardi, and her great-grandchildren, Jade, Miyah, Carson, Brantley, Kylan, Paxton, Kambree, Karter, Avery, and Grayson. She is also survived by her brother, Gary Boles (Robin), and sister, Nancy Ritter.

She was preceded in death by her beloved dog, Jazz, whose companionship brought her joy.

Family and friends are invited to pay their respects during the visitation on October 25, 2024, from 2:00 PM to 6:30 PM, followed by the funeral service at 6:30 PM, all taking place at Newcomer Funeral Home, East Louisville, located at 235 Juneau Dr, Louisville, KY 40243.

Brenda Lee Russell's spirit will live on in the hearts of all who had the privilege of knowing her. She will be deeply missed.
