Brenda Kay Risinger, 69, of Louisville, KY, passed away on October 23, 2021. She enjoyed gardening, traveling, and playing BINGO. Brenda was a music lover and loved to sing Karaoke. She looked forward for family gatherings and holidays, especially Christmas.
She was preceded in death by her parents, James and Hazel Skaggs; brother, James Skaggs and sister, Theresa Gammon.
Brenda leaves to cherish her memories, her husband of 50 years, James Risinger; children, Jonathan Risinger and Rebecca (William) Harper; grandchildren, Damon Harper, Mathew Harper and Amethyst Bland; great-granddaughter on the way, Hazel Bland; sisters, Judith (Edward) Sciarra and Lavina West and her life long friend, Brenda Hester.
Visitation will be Sunday, October 31, 2021, at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions, Southwest Louisville Chapel, 10304 Dixie Highway, Louisville, KY, from 1pm-8pm. A celebration of Brenda's life will be November 1, 2021, beginning at 11am at the funeral home.
Brenda will be laid to rest at Evergreen Cemetery, 4623 Preston Hwy, Louisville, KY 40213.
