Brenda Sue (Cockerill) Napier, 66, of New Albany, Indiana passed away on August 5, 2014. Brenda was a member of Eastern Heights Baptist Church in Jeffersonville. She enjoyed; quilting, gardening, canning, and participating in cancer awareness walks.
Brenda was born on January 22, 1948 in Louisville, Kentucky, to the late James W Cockerill Sr., and Christine M. (Thompson) Wright. She is also preceded in death by her brother, Joe E. Cockerill.
She is survived by her loving husband of 48 years, Charles Edward Napier; children, Joe Lenz (José), Loria Luckett (Morgan), Misse Wallace (Erik), Jacque Martin (Nick); siblings, Gloria Knear, Donald T. Grim, James Cockerill Jr.; 5 grandchildren, and 6 great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Friday, August 8, 2014 from 12 to 8 PM at Newcomer Funeral Home (3309 Ballard Lane, New Albany). Her Funeral Service will take place on Saturday at 11 AM in the chapel at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Walnut Ridge Cemetery in Jeffersonville.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Celebration of Life Benefit for Brenda Napier at any local PNC Bank branch.
