Brenda Joyce Bowlin

Brenda Joyce Bowlin, 75, of Louisville, Kentucky, passed away on Sunday, September 25, 2022 at Norton Brownsboro Hospital. She was born to the late Joy & Louise Wilson in Vincennes, Indiana, on May 19, 1947, and was raised alongside 11 siblings.

In 1972, Brenda started her family, having two children of her own. Starting in 1977, Brenda studied and practiced residential Real Estate locally. She tried a new adventure and later went back to further her education, obtaining a Bachelor's Degree in Science. She returned to her original career and became employed as a Property Acquisitionist for Jefferson County and retired after 10 years. She became a board member and served on the International Right-of-Ways Association. She was a supportive parent, participating their school's PTA programs.

Brenda was a very attentive mother, always planning camps or enrichment activities during summer months and staying involved in the church. Brenda was very spiritual, attending Southeast Christian Church and its various campuses. She loved to read, not discriminating based on genre or number of pages. She dabbled in designing and making her own jewelry, and in her later years, she loved to create, painting rocks and gifting them for all sorts of occasions.

Brenda leaves behind to cherish her memory her son, Rob (Susanne) Bowlin; her daughter, Rebecca Bowlin; her grandson, Chase Bowlin; her remaining siblings, as well as other relatives and friends who will always remember her gentle touch.

Visitation will be on Monday, October 3, 2022 at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals, and Receptions (235 Juneau Drive, Louisville, Kentucky 40243) from 11:00am – 1:00pm with a memorial service to begin at 1:00pm.
