***In Loving Memory of Bonnie Lee Thornhill***
Bonnie Lee Thornhill, aged 78, of, Kentucky, transitioned her eternal rest on November 20, 2024. She leaves behind a of love, devotion and cherished memories.
Bonnie was a proud and devoted mother, daughter, sister, grandmother, and friend. Joyful spirit resonated in everything she did. She found delight in playing internet games on her phone and tablet, as well as bowling. Most importantly, she treasured the moments spent with family, crafting lasting memories. A committed Christian, Bonnie found solace and community at Grace Crossings Church on Ashby Lane, where she worshipped for over eight years. Her strong work ethic shone through in her years as a manager and cook at Denny's and Jerry's restaurant, where her kindness touched both colleagues and patrons alike.
Born on May 31, 1946, in Altoona, Pennsylvania, to John and Viola (Trimble) Noel, Bonnie's life was shaped by the love of her family. She was preceded in death by her beloved sister, Vyrl Noel, and her cherished grandson, Crisologo Basilio.
Bonnie is survived by her devoted daughter, Victoria (Joseph) Newton; her son, Jason E. (Mary) Choate; and all of her siblings—sisters Denise, Vickie Sue (Max), Mary (Michael), and Barbara; brothers Gary (Sherry), John "Butch" (Maralyn), Dennis (Deanna), and Donnie. She also leaves behind a wonderful group of grandchildren—Ashley, Jimena, Allison, Rex, Juan, Michael, Bryson, Jonathan, and Zane—as well as her precious great-granddaughter, Lillian, and her best friend, Meron, who will forever hold her memory close to their hearts.
Visitation to celebrate Bonnie's remarkable life will be held from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, December 7, 2024, at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions - Southwest Louisville Chapel, followed by a funeral service at 2:00 p.m. at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that contributions in Bonnie’s memory be made to the American Lung Association.
