Bonita Pulliam

June 21, 1962 — October 15, 2024

Louisville Ky

Bonita Pulliam, devoted wife, a cherished mother, and beloved grandmother, aunt, sister and friend  passed away peacefully on October 15, 2024, at the age of 62, in her hometown of Louisville, KY. Surrounded by her devoted husband Michael and loving children (Ebone’, Eve and Rodney), Bonita leaves behind a legacy of love and warmth that endure in the hearts of all who knew her.

Born on June 21, 1962, in Louisville, Bonita's journey began in a city that would always hold a special place in her heart. She was a proud graduate of Ballard High School and pursued further education at Jefferson Community College, laying the groundwork for her fulfilling career in the dietary department of Baptist Health Louisville. During her time there, her compassionate nature shone through, as she dedicated herself to ensuring the wellbeing of those in her care.

Bonita was not just defined by her work; her personality was as vibrant as the life she led. She wore many hats throughout her life—a loving mother who took pride in raising her beautiful family, a loyal wife who stood by her husband Michael with unwavering devotion, a caring sister, and a sincere friend to many. Her love for family was evident in every aspect of her life, from hosting lively game nights filled with laughter around the table to sharing joyous vacations that created lasting memories.

In her free time, Bonita found solace and excitement in various hobbies. She had a passion for puzzles, often challenging herself and bringing family members together to solve them. Her competitive spirit came alive during family game nights, especially when playing spades, where her strategic mind and infectious laughter made for an unforgettable experience. She was also a die-hard fan of the Pittsburgh Steelers and the University of Louisville football, showcasing her loyalty to her teams.

Bonita’s enthusiasm extended to her love of travel and collecting memorabilia, both of which reflected her adventurous spirit and appreciation for life's simple pleasures. Whether exploring new places or adding to her cherished collection, every moment was a testament to her zest for life and her desire to share joy with those around her.

Bonita is survived by her loving husband Michael Pulliam; children, (Ebone’, Eve and Rodney); her grandchildren, and a host of devoted friends and family.
