Bobby Bolling, 51, passed away on February 28, 2023. He was a talented musician and a great songwriter. Bobby played lead and rhythm guitar and loved performing and writing songs with his closest friends. He was a skilled painter and an expert mechanic. Bobby could fix or repair anything that was placed in front of him. He also loved to create new things out of old things that people no longer wanted. Bobby had a green thumb and loved to take care of plants. He was a great cook, loved to fish, lift weights and enjoyed nature. Bobby also loved to quote his favorite movies, television shows and books that he had read. He liked to make up silly songs about his kids, nieces and nephew when they were little, just to make them laugh. Bobby was very proud of his long hair and used to joke that it gave him strength. He had a heart of gold and a gentle soul. Bobby was spiritual, talented, intelligent, artistic, thoughtful, protective, creative, loyal, sentimental, hilarious, a perfectionist, very generous and God fearing. He was a devoted dad, son, grandson, nephew, brother, uncle and friend. Bobby's two sons, Steven and Robert meant the world to him, as well as the rest of his family and many friends. He will forever live on in our hearts.
He was preceded in death by his father, Alan "Butch" Bolling; grandmother, Vera Miles; grandfather, Leon Miles and uncle, Garry Miles.
Bobby leaves to cherish his memories, his sons, Steven Burkhead and Robert Bolling; mother, Phyllis Sims; sister, Sherry (Jeff) Jackson; half brother, Danny Bolling; nieces, Brooke and Emily Jackson; nephew, Carter Jackson; cousins, Waylon (Hollie) Miles, Jessy and Jenny Boehnlein; god-children, Justin and Kayla Jernigan and his four legged companion and buddy, Max.
Visitation will be Wednesday, March 8, 2023, at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions, Southwest Louisville Chapel, 10304 Dixie Highway, Louisville, KY, from 12pm-8pm with a celebration of Bobby's life beginning at 6pm.
