Robert "Bob" Verbanic, 57, of Louisville, Kentucky, passed away on Tuesday, March 4, 2025.

He was born on July 27, 1967 in Saratoga Springs, New York to the late Joseph and Marilyn (Kolb) Verbanic. He is also preceded in death by his grandparents, Katherine and Stephen Verbanic and Thomas and Helen Kolb.

Bob earned an Associates Degree from Cazenovia College in Criminal Justice and later earned another degree from Hudson Valley Community College in Business Administration.

He worked as a Pinkerton at Saratoga Race Track, a Prison Guard for the Dept. of Corrections in Florida, a Security Guard at local concert venues in Louisville, KY, a Retail Manager at Lowe’s of Louisville, and as a Landscaper at Green with Envy in Louisville. Bob also owned and operated Dynamic Lawncare in Louisville.

Bob was an avid sports fan. He was a NY Yankees and a Louisville Cardinals enthusiast all the way. He was passionate about horses and racing; a lifelong fan of the great Secretariat. His greatest love was his love of dogs…specifically, his brood of pugs and bulldogs. Bob had an unwavering love for family and friends; ever faithful, ever true. He was marked by his deep generosity and powerful wit. There is not another like him, and he will be missed beyond what words could say.

Bob is survived by his siblings, Joe Verbanic (Jane), Gerette Verbanic, Jackie Verbanic-Smith (Craig), Kristen Kristel (Jeff), Mike Verbanic; nieces, Tessa Brandon (Jake), Abigail Vazquez (Luis), Hannah Smith, Erica Kristel; nephews, Nicholas Lander, Sam Verbanic, JJ Verbanic, Max Smith and Brian Kristel. He is also survived by his great-nieces, Noa Brandon, Clover Brandon, Hannah Valley Vazquez, Millie Reed Vazquez and great-nephews, Eli Verbanic and Finn Brandon.

A celebration of Bob's life will be held at a later date in Saratoga Springs, New York.
