Billy Ray Haney

Billy Ray Haney, 85, passed away on May 10, 2022. He retired as a truck driver. Billy was an avid gardener, fisherman and hunter. He enjoyed racing cars in his younger years. Billy loved to watch NASCAR races and calling his brother to discuss the highlights and excitement of each race.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Rhonda Haney; son, Anthony "Tony" Haney and his parents, Everd and Maudie Haney.

Billy leaves to cherish his memories, his children, William "Billy" Haney, Tammy (David) Fitzgerald, Joyce (Scott) Newberry, Michelle (Chris) Masters, Corey Haney and Adena (Jamie) White; best friend/grandson, Dakota Newberry; multiple grandchildren; great-grandchildren; brother, Fulton "Red" (Betty) Haney and numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be Wednesday, May 18, 2022, at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions, Southwest Louisville Chapel, 10304 Dixie Highway, Louisville, KY, from 3pm-8pm. A celebration of Billy's life will be Thursday, May 19, 2022, beginning at 10am at the funeral home.

Billy will be laid to rest at Resthaven Cemetery, 4400 Bardstown Road, Louisville, KY 40218.
