Billie Ruth Lawson, 67, of Shepherdsville, Kentucky, passed away on Wednesday, March 22, 2023 surrounded by family and friends. Billie was an avid animal lover and country music fan. She also had her own band. Billie was a very caring person for everyone. She was a management and sales professional caring for the elderly for 15 years with Holiday Retirement LLC. Billie was a strong willed person and the heart of a fighter.
Billie was born on October 28, 1955 in Shreveport, Louisiana to Arnold and Aryetta (Manning) Vanstory. She is preceded in death by her Father, Arnold Vanstory, Mother, Aryetta Vanstory, Sisters, Nell, Virginia, Sue, and Brother, James.
Billie is survived by her loving Husband of 15 years, Stevan L. Lawson; Children, Ginger Powers, Nellie (John) Hedgespeth, and Casey Powers; Grandchildren, Tiffany Enriquez, Samantha Spatzier, Amanda (Bobby) Saint, James Skaggs, Stuart (Jenna) Bray, Michelle (Josh) Quire, and Travis (Amber) McDonald; 9 Great-Grandchildren, as well as a host of family and friends to cherish her memory forever.
Per her wishes the family is having cremation with no other services at this time.
The family requests that contributions in Billie's memory be made to the funeral home by coming in directly or clicking on the Pay My Bill at the bottom of the page for the funeral expenses.
