Billie Whayne Butler, 92, of Louisville, Kentucky, passed away on Saturday, January 11, 2025. Billie was a wonderful mother who was always there when we needed her the most, offering support, wisdom, and love in abundance. She was a member of Forest View United Baptist Church where she attended regularly. Billie was a great Christian woman that lead by example. She loved teaching Sunday School, playing her piano, helping and encouraging others and being with family and friends. A lifelong learner, Billie found joy in exploring new worlds through the pages of books. In her quiet moments, she could be found curled up with a good book and her chihuahua. Billie was a constant source of knowledge and guidance, always ready to discuss her favorite literature, share a favorite passage or Bible verse. Her love for literature was only surpassed by her love for her family.
She was born on June 27, 1932 in Louisville, Kentucky to Roland and Betty Jean Whayne. She is preceded in death by her Father, Roland Whayne, Mother, Betty Jean Whayne, Husband, Earl W. Butler, Son, John M. Butler, Sr., and Brother, James Whayne.
