Billy C. (BC) Coleman, age 70 of Goshen, KY, passed away on Saturday, June 28, 2014. He attended college at the University of New Haven and was an Army Veteran. He was an executive with the Brown-Forman Distilleries, most recently as President of Bluegrass Cooperage. He volunteered and was on the Board of Directors at the YMCA. He was a member of Green Castle Baptist Church and attended Joshua Tabernacle, where he played music for both. He was preceded in death by his parents, Clifford and Alma Coleman; brothers, Charles, John, George and Thomas; sisters, Helen, Jean and Doris.
BC is survived by his loving wife of 20 years, Toni Smith Coleman; daughters, Stephanie Johnson (Carl), Carole Florestal (Marcel), Stacy Coleman, Starlet Johnson (Jamar), Billie-Jo Benton, Lindsey Davidson and Lydia Davidson; grandchildren, Cameron, Courtney, Ryan, Sydney, Caleb, Carl Jr., Johanna, Sarah and Isaiah; siblings, Julian Coleman, Betty Hardesty (Calvin) and Edith Warfield (Robert); mother-in-law, Lutie Taylor; brother-in-law, Joey Smith sister-in-laws, Jerri Anderson (Victor) and Kim McDaniels (William). He is also survived by a host of relatives and friends.
A celebration of BC's life will be Saturday, July 12, 2014 at Green Castle Baptist Church 4970 Murphy Lane Louisville, KY 40241 at 12pm, with visitation there from 10am until 11:45am. Memorials may be made to the YMCA, 930 West Chestnut Street Louisville, KY 40203.
