Beverly "Bev" Steitz, 84, of Shepherdsville, Kentucky, passed away on Monday, April 10, 2023.

She was born on February 28, 1939 in Louisville, Kentucky to the late Anthony C. Schweitzer Sr. and Alma (Klosterman) Cummins. along with her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, James Kenneth Steitz and her daughter, Debra A. Lucas.

Bev was a loving devoted wife, mother, grandmother and sister. A woman of faith; being a member of Triumph Ministries and Evangel World Prayer Center. She has had a long time passion of collecting Angels.
She also enjoyed going to Derby Dinner Playhouse, vacationing in Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge and spending her time with the one's she loved most; her family. Her family was very important to her; she was especially proud of her great grandson for being an Airman. Bev will leave behind a legacy of love that will continue through her loving family.

Bev is survived by her loving family, her son, Jeff (Fronchesca) Steitz, grandchildren, Kelly (Levi) Pinnick, Jason Gall, Chasity Lucas, Kayla Hammons and Rebekah Duplantis, great grandchildren, Destin, Allayla and Raelynn, siblings, Dorothy Speer, Bud Schweitzer, Lawrence "Larry" Schweitzer, and Anthony (Drema) Schweitzer, sister in-law, Pat Steitz, and her fur baby, Mercy, along with several nieces and nephews that will miss her very much.

Visitation will be from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Thursday, April 20th and 10:00 am to 12:00 pm on Friday, April 21st at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions - Southwest Louisville Chapel, (10304 Dixie Hwy). Her Funeral Service will be at 12:00 pm on Friday, at the funeral home, with burial to follow at Louisville Memorial Gardens West.

The family requests that contributions in Bev's memory be made to the Wounded Warrior Project.
