Beverly Boulter Gerhart, 92, of Louisville, Kentucky, passed away peacefully on Sunday, August 14, 2022.
She was born Beverly Ann Boulter in Lincoln, NE to Duane and Bernice Boulter, the first of three daughters. She married Robert Willis Gerhart, Sr. on Valentine's Day, 1950 and lived in Louisville, St. Louis and Hilton Head Island, SC over the course of their 63-year marriage. They had three sons, Robert Jr., Phillip, and Nathaniel.
Beverly was an active woman who loved the outdoors. She was an avid swimmer, boater, tennis player, golfer, swim teacher, bicyclist, hiker and kayaker. She was a graduate of the University of Louisville, a teacher, a realtor, and very active in her churches: St. Luke's on Hilton Head and St. Luke's in Anchorage, KY. She was a Daughter of the King at both churches. Her hope was always in the Lord and she found great joy and comfort in her faith.
Beverly is survived by her son, Robert Willis Gerhart, Jr (Suzanne), and her two
granddaughters, Elizabeth Thompson (Michael) and Virginia Gotth-Olsen (Matthew), seven great-grandchildren, a sister, Mary Louise Mingus, nieces, nephews, and dozens of great- and great-great nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 63 years, Robert Willis Gerhart, Sr., her sons Phillip Boulter Gerhart and Nathaniel Vogel Gerhart III, her sister Dorothy Jean Clark, and her daughter-in-law, Margaret Hoge Gerhart.
A memorial service will be held at St. Luke's Episcopal Church at 1206 Maple Lane in
Anchorage, KY 40223 on Saturday, September 3, 2022 at 11:00am. The family will receive guests for an hour before the service, with a reception following in the Board Hall of the church. She will be interred in the columbarium at St. Luke's, joining her husband and her son, Nathaniel.
