Beverly Collis

Beverly Collis, age 77 of Louisville, Kentucky, passed away on Sunday, February 9, 2025 at home surrounded by her loving family.  She was born on January 26, 1948 in Louisville, Kentucky to the late Arthur and Marjorie Ferris. Beverly graduated from Seneca High School.  Her career led her to become an appraiser for English Appraisal Services.  She was also employed with the Louisville Boy Scouts.  She enjoyed bowling and loved her family above all else.  In addition to her parents, Beverly was preceded in death by her sister, Betty Ferris; and her former husband, John Collis.

Beverly leaves to cherish her memory her children, Connie Torres (Jose) and Richard Collis (Diana Edwards); grandchildren, Alex Torres (Monika Nevit), Chris Torres (Riley Knight); great-grandchildren, August Torres, Grey Torres and Huxley Torres; their mother, Brittany Torres; brother, Bob Ferris (Joan); and a host of family and friends.

Visitation will be from 2pm to 4pm on Sunday, February 16, 2025 at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals and Receptions, East Louisville Chapel, 235 Juneau Drive, Louisville, Kentucky 40243.  A celebration of Beverly's life will follow at 4pm at the funeral home.
