Louisville, KY — Mrs. Beulah "Bea" Melinda Johnson Baker, from Louisville, KY, formerlyof Childersburg, AL went home to be with her Heavenly Father on February 15, 2014 at BaptistHealth Hospital in Louisville, KY.!
She was born August 28,1930 in Rhea County, TN and was the daughter of the late John Sherfield Johnson, father, and Cordelia Helen Norris, mother. She was preceded in deathby her husband of 65 years, Rev. William "Sonny" Robert Baker, Sr. as well as her sisters, LoisMann, Ruth Malone Gambrel, and brother Preston Johnson all of Childersburg, AL and sisterDoris Wong of Honolulu, HI.!
She was a retired LPN and attended Lee College (University) in Cleveland, TN from 1949-1950. She also served alongside her husband in pastoral ministry for 44 years at 13 churches in the states of Alabama, Kansas, Virginia, Illinois and West Virginia as well as two mission churches. She served as the District Ladies' Ministry President for many years, and as a member of state-level Ladies' Ministry boards for approximately 10 years. She was a guest speaker at various seminars, banquets & special events in addition to her full-time involvement in local congregations. After their retirement from full-time ministry, she worked as a food demonstrator at the Piggly Wiggly supermarket in Childersburg, AL, which she used as an avenue to meet people so she could minister to & pray for them.!
She is survived by her two daughters, Janice E. Hagee and her husband, Rev. David Hagee of Roanoke, VA; Deborah J. Denton of Nashville, TN; and one son, Rev. William Robert Baker, Jr. and his wife Donna of Louisville, KY; six grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her half-sisters Patty Kramer, Opal Epperson, Becky Varnett, half brother Billy Johnson and sister-in-law, Mary Brummel (Nick), Kansas City, MO.

A celebration of her life will be held at SpiritLife Church of God in Louisville, KY on Tuesday, February 18, 2014 at 7 p.m. with the Rev. David Hagee officiating. The family will receive friends at the church on Tuesday from 5 until 7 p.m. Burial will be at Green Hill Cemetery in Childersburg, AL on Thursday, February 20, 2014 at 1:00 p.m
