Betty Sumner

Betty Louise Sumner, 82, of Louisville, Kentucky, passed away on Tuesday, March 4, 2025. Betty was a kind loving mother, grandmother, and friend. She never met a stranger and always had a kind word to say. She will truly be missed by all who knew her.

She was born on April 26, 1942 in Brownsville, Kentucky to John and Maude (Saunders) Blanford. She is preceded in death by her Father, John Blanford, Mother, Maude Blanford, Husband, Aubrey Davidson Sumner, Jr., Son, Anthony Sumner, and Grandson, Jarrod Robert Finley.

Betty is survived by her loving family, Daughters, Penny (Mark) Jeffries and Susan (Robert) Prestigiacomo; Grandchildren, Troy (Alanea) Faircloth, Jr., A.J. (Angela) Jeffries, Brandon (Amber) Finley, Mitchell (Hannah) Jeffries, Tasha Johnston, Brandy (David) Prestigiacomo-Vazquez, and a host of Great-Grandchildren; Sister-In-Law, Patsy Blanford.

The family requests that contributions in Betty’s memory be made to St. Jude's Children's Research Center.
