Betty Jean Nethery, 87, of Louisville, Kentucky, passed away on Sunday, March 27, 2022.
She was born on September 23, 1934 in Shelby County, Kentucky to the late Ludlow Cook Sr. and Sadie (Dean) Cook. She is also preceded in death by her siblings Ludlow Cook Jr., Lucille Briscoe, Catherine Collins, Cecile Jewell and Elizabeth Cook.
Betty was the Secretary at Myers Middle School until retirement in 1994. After retirement Betty and Don traveled extensively and spent the winters in Florida.
Betty is survived by her loving husband of 70 years, Donald C. Nethery and daughter, Deborah S. Nethery.
Visitation will be from 10:00 am until the time of the funeral service at 12:00 pm on Thursday, March 31, 2022 at Newcomer Cremation, Funerals & Receptions (235 Juneau Drive Louisville, KY 40243) with entombment to follow at Resthaven Cemetery.
