Betty Louise Mckinney

Betty Louise McKinney, 84, of Louisville, Kentucky, passed away on Monday, November 6, 2023. Betty enjoyed spending time baking, cooking, sewing, gardening, babysitting, and making memories with her grandchildren who all call her mamal (mamaw). One great grandchild called her mema and she called her mymy.


She was born on December 31, 1938 to the late Harlen and Maggie Fields. Along with her parents her husband Ray McKinney, a brother Lloyd Fields, a grandchild B.J. McKinney, and a great grandchild Makenzie Anderson.

Betty is survived by her sister Shirley (Buddy) Overfelt and sons Bobby (Evelyn) McKinney, and Benny (Roni) McKinney and grandchildren Chad McKinney, Jesikah (Brad) Anderson, Nick (Amanda) McKinney, Trina McKinney, and Emily McKinney, 14 great-grandchildren, brother-in-law Raymond McKinney, and many loving nieces, nephews and dear friends to cherish her loving memory forever.


Visitation will be from 3:00 pm to 8:00 pm Friday, November 17, 2023 at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions - Southwest Louisville Chapel, (10304 Dixie Hwy). Her Funeral Service will be 12:00 pm on Saturday, at the funeral home with burial to follow at Evergreen Cemetery.
