Betty Sue Matthews-Manning

Betty Sue Matthews-Manning, 71, of Louisville, Kentucky, passed away on Sunday, May 21, 2023. Betty had a heart of gold and always put everyone before herself. She was a hard working and selfless person. She loved her family but most of all she adored her grandson. She always loved being outside gardening, tending to her flowers, and sitting on the front porch talking to her neighbors. She enjoyed her cigarettes and sitting on the porch playing her casino slots on her tablet. She will truly be missed but will never be forgotten by all who knew her.

She was born on November 4, 1951 in Glen Dean, Kentucky to David and Lillian (Overton) Matthews. She is preceded in death by her Father, David Ray Matthews and Mother, Lillian Matthews.

Betty is survived by her loving family, Sons, Joseph Christopher Hooper and Robert Michael Hooper; Grandson, Joseph Colt Hooper; Siblings, Billy Matthews, Roger Matthews, and Grover Matthews; Bonus Sons, Jimmy (Lisa) McCluskey, and Darryl Lawes.

Memorial Visitation will be from 3:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Tuesday, May 30, 2023 at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions - Southwest Louisville Chapel, (10304 Dixie Hwy).

The family requests that contributions in Betty's memory be made to the family.
