Betty Jean Lyvers, 63, of Louisville, Kentucky, passed away on Monday, February 27, 2023. Betty was a loving and devoted mother and Granny. She was stubborn, forgiving, and loved bragging on her boys. Betty enjoyed spending time gardening and being in the outdoors, especially going to the lake. She had a passion for her career and devoted her time to caring for the grounds of Adath Jeshurun Cemetery for several years. Betty will be deeply missed by all who had the honor of knowing her.
She was born on October 17, 1959 in Louisville, Kentucky to Robert and Alma (McMahan) Harris. Along with her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, James Murrell Lyvers; sister, Sharon Key; and brothers-in-law, Doug Grider and Joseph Luckett.
Betty is survived by her loving family, sons, Charles (Martha) Butler, Christopher (Rachel) Harris, Lord Benjamin (Wendy) Harris; grandchildren, Charles Butler, III, Jonathan Butler, Emily Crabb, Christopher James Harris, Chyanne Dawn Harris, Jamari Shelburne, Benjamin Harris, II, Asuna White, Lynixx Asbury, Amadeus Harris, Leonidas Harris; brothers, Robert (Lisa) Harris, Jr., Terry (Kay) Harris, Samuel Harris; sisters, Margie (Winston) Graham, Diane Grider, Kathy Luckett, Susan Harris; as well as a host of many many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends to cherish her loving memory forever.
Visitation will be on Monday, March 6, 2023 from 1:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions - Southwest Louisville Chapel, 10304 Dixie Highway. Visitation will resume on Tuesday from 9:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. Her Funeral Service will be on Tuesday at 1:00 p.m. at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions - Southwest Louisville Chapel with burial to follow at Evergreen Cemetery in Louisville, Kentucky.
