Betty Jean (Nance) Love, 89, of New Albany, Indiana, passed away on Saturday, March 27, 2021. She was a member of Living Church of God in New Albany, as well as the White Shrine, and Order of the Eastern Star. After raising her family, Betty became a salesperson at Variety Records, as well as Dillard's Department Store and Avon. She was an avid sports fan, enjoyed singing in choirs and had a deep love for her grandchildren and great-grandchild.
She was born on October 2, 1931, in Louisville, Kentucky, to Edgar and Olive (Zurschmeide) Nance. In addition to her parents, Betty was preceded in death by her husband, Ronald Love; and sisters, Wilma Larson and Pamela McCormick.
Betty is survived by her children, Paul Love (Vickie), Janice Goetz (Michael), Nathan Love; grandchildren, Elizabeth Hollis (Josh), Douglas Love, Hanna Lockman (Ray), Thomas Goetz, Andrew Love; great-grandson, Henry Hollis; and sister, Donna Wright.
Visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, March 31, 2021, at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions (3309 Ballard Lane, New Albany) with her funeral service taking place at 1:00 p.m. Burial will follow at Kraft-Graceland Memorial Park in New Albany.
