Betty Jean "Bj" Lockard
November 7, 1941 — January 11, 2023
Betty Jean Lockard (Fry) passed away peacefully on January 11, 2023 at 81 years old.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Paul M.Fry, Sr., Hazel Fry, her step mother Grace Fry, her siblings Paul Fry, Jr., Jim Fry and Nancy Seltzer and her grandson Anthony Todd Storey, II and her beloved husband William E. Lockard,Jr.
Betty was known for having a sassy spirit and a giving heart and was a mom/grandma to whoever needed it. She would go without to help anyone, even strangers. There was always a seat at her table for everyone. She loved reading and watching mysteries, cooking and spending time with her family. She graduated Sullivan University with a business degree well into her 40's after raising her 4 kids. She had an unmatched work ethic, working multiple jobs when she was able. Her favorite job was being a homemaker, wife, mother and grandmother.
She is survived by her 4 children and their families, Lori (Ken), Ryan (Tabby) Fitzgibbon, Debra (Tim) Donnelly, Casie (David) Skaggs, Morgan (Seth) Meyers, Anthony (Vicky), Andrew (Leah), and Tara Storey, Carren (Dwight) Jones, Adam (Megan) Grace and Gabe Franklin, Michele (Ryan) Emma and Ella Gipson, Landon Franklin, Nathaniel Franklin, Elizabeth Moore and Tony Moore, as well as a sister, Lois Orton and many other friends and family who loved her.
Visitation will be from 12:00 pm to 2:00 pm on Tuesday, January 17, 2023 with a Funeral Ceremony at 2:00 pm at Restoration Life Church, 4750 Jackson Road, Eminence, KY 40019.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Betty's name to Restoration Life Church or Hosparus.
